TRISH & MIKE’S
The architectural vision for this project seeks to encapsulate the pure essence of outdoor living, drawing inspiration from the art of simple living and the profound connection between humanity and its natural surroundings.
The main design principles pay homage to the idea of harmonious coexistence with the natural world. One of the central tenets is the seamless integration of the structure with its natural surroundings. Each room effortlessly connects inhabitants with welcoming courtyards and thoughtfully landscaped areas, blurring the conventional boundaries that separate indoor and outdoor spaces.
The home also gestures towards unity within its neighborhood. By situating living spaces at the forefront and reserving private sleeping spaces toward the rear, the design orchestrates a privacy gradient. This approach is befitting to the tree lined, coastal street and the relaxed nature of its mostly barefoot residents. The seating and fire pit area activates the front yard and nurtures social interactions.
The design is an ode to adaptability, sensory richness, and the vibrant spirit of its community. Here, the connection between design and nature is not a mere witness but a way of life, and the art of simple living finds its most profound expression.
